Engineering Talent

The AGP Skills Working Group has been working with Semta to look at ways of better matching the large volume of potential candidates who apply for Aerospace Apprenticeship schemes with those Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the supply chains who are also looking to recruit Apprentices but sometimes struggle to attract candidates as their brand and what they do are not widely known. Engineering Talent is the new online platform specifically designed by Semta for those wanting to be a part of the Engineering and Manufacturing industries.

The Engineering Talent Video gives a brief overview but in simple terms the system is designed to:

• Connect an oversupply of applicants to SMEs / Supply Chain
• Allow Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to support unsuccessful but capable, interested candidates into other sector opportunities easily
• Allow SMEs to access full recruitment support or work with an FE provider
• Give candidates the opportunity to access online learning / sector content if sector wishes to support it
