Who we are
The Aerospace Growth Partnership (AGP) is a strategic collaboration between the UK Government, the aerospace industry, and key stakeholders, established to secure the long-term success of the UK aerospace sector in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
The AGP provides a unified platform for industry and government to work together to remove barriers to growth, strengthen international competitiveness, increase exports, and create high-value jobs across the UK.
Why Aerospace Matters to the UK?
The UK aerospace sector is globally recognised for its world-class capabilities and innovation. UK companies lead in advanced systems including:
- Landing gear
- Actuation systems
- Avionics
- Fuel and power systems
- Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services
The UK is also one of the few nations with the full capability to design and manufacture advanced helicopters, highlighting the depth and breadth of the national aerospace ecosystem.

Structure
AGP Board
- Sets the overall vision, mission, and strategic direction
- Approves major sector-wide initiatives
- Engages with Government Ministers and senior stakeholders to shape policy and delivery priorities
AGP Council
- Translates strategy into actionable programmes and activities
- Coordinates delivery across AGP working groups
- Reviews and recommends policies and initiatives for Board approval
Working Groups
Manufacturing and Supply chains
- Strengthens supply chain competitiveness
- Drives productivity, resilience, and growth across UK aerospace manufacturing
People and Skills
- Ensures the sector has the current and future workforce capabilities needed to remain globally competitive
- Supports skills development, talent pipelines, and workforce transformation
Strategic Role
The AGP plays a central role in aligning industry and government priorities. It has supported major national initiatives such as:
- The Industrial Strategy (2018) – recognising aerospace as a priority sector for economic growth
- The Aerospace Sector Deal (2019) – strengthening collaboration between government and industry, supporting innovation, regional prosperity, and skills development
Through these efforts, the AGP continues to help shape policy, drive innovation, and ensure the UK remains competitive on the global stage.
